[Tales of Anima] The Fox-kin
Hey everyone, i got really sick on a train ride back from colorado to new york and was out of commission today so I took a break and decided to just draw comfort zone stuff for Anima. These are the Fox-kin, which are just anthropomorphic foxes living on Anima. The races of Anima are all anthropomorphized versions of earth's animals with the addition of some mythical creatures. Each race is called a "kin" and the races were created by a god named Valneesh who also created humans - who used to coexist in Anima with all of the other species. Humans are the closest to Valneesh's image, but they ended up being devastated by not getting along with the other "kins". Humans begged Valneesh to be sent to another world - and he granted their wish by sending them to a new planet he was forging called Earth where they could exist as the planet's smartest life form.

I post on FurAffinity, actually! I haven't tried publishing any kind of paid version yet. My readership is pretty small, but wonderfully loyal, which always warms my heart. ^_^ (I started to post on Royal Road, but I prefer FA. I just get more/better engagement here, I feel.)
I use https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51944409 as a central hub, as it is one single pic that shows each of the three main characters. It also provides links to the first chapters (I upload both plaintext and PDFs, because while I prefer plaintext, I know some people prefer PDF) and a synopsis of each story.
Book 1 of "Princess Tells Her Story" was my first public writing, so it's still a little rough around the edges. It's a little episodic (because I didn't know if my health issues would prevent me from continuing, so I tried to give everything a tone of "This could be an ending" for a while), and chapters start with a "Story so far" recap for a while (I didn't want someone to find a new chapter, click it, and be unable to follow what was going on long enough to decide if they liked the story. But after a while I decided "If you click on something that says 'part 11' and are upset you don't know what's going on, that's kinda on you, isn't it?"), and I think I could have handled Princess's backstory a little better. I plan to do a rewrite of Book 1 after I finish Book 3.
I rotate through the three series, because I want to make sure I don't accidentally have one drop off and be neglected. So I'm currently working on Princess 37, then I'll be doing Vayryn 16, then Flopsy 24, then Princess 38, etc. I generally get a new chapter out within two weeks, sometimes one week. I would like to get my pace back up to the 2-3 chapters a week I was hitting early on, but there's a lot that's out of my hands, unfortunately. So I just do them when I can. ^_^;; But writing has become one of my favorite hobbies, so just about any time I have free time and energy, I pick writing over most other things.
"Exodimensional Hoofbun Flopsy" actually started as a design I was kicking around in my head for a Metroidvania! The plot was wildly different, but some bits of the game carried over. Like her "Nowhere" being how her inventory would be handled, and the gryphon feather she has is a nod to a planned boss fight against one that'd give her a feather that's used to craft the Double Jump upgrade.
