I reimagined him as a kitsune for the same reason I drew Duncan as a vampire (besides the fact he was a dirty old humie at the time), to reimagine a character as a monster. Which is hard to do for angels. But a vain and effeminate fallen angel like Sanguine just made so much sense to be a kitsune. There's like, no better fit yo.
