Looks like Nine's bulking up via nanomachines, steroids, and Chaos Emerald energy, definitely no way they aren't gonna beat him the traditional way. I bet Sonic and Shadow are going to need all the Chaos Emeralds, and a little bit of luck if they want to kick his gigantic hulking ass.
