This isn't a daily post, but an unrelated post of some art that I was very tardy in touching up to meet a promise. It turned out that simply scan wasn't possible. To preserve the blacks as black, and the painted stars kept white, was impossible. I had to repaint all the white stars in Photoshop. Another unusual point is that the art wasn't signed and dated. Of course I knew I had done it, but when? Since I had cataloged it as a 1980 piece, I have to presume that I kept it where it was meant to be. It's a bit hard to remember 43 years ago, but I believe the art was done for a convention poster, and that the rest of the ad was also hand drawn, and that I had discarded it later, cutting it off with scissors. I should have added a proper date and signature then but didn't.
