I quite like the Polish and East German lever release side folding wire folders better than the Romanian version. They essentially look the same and feel the same but I like the lever release better than the button. Underfolders are really cool looking but every time I try one, I miss the cheek-weld that I would normally have with my other rifles.
Hmm... I'll have to try and see one these days then, they give me the impression that'd it feel like a coat hanger being jammed into your arm, which I have first hand experience of doing (I was a stupid kid) and would think that'd not be a good option for handling recoil. But I'm willing to take your word to see for myself because now I'm curious, although first I need to find someone with an AK platform and convince them to put it on there.
Vixens have a certain kind of magic, don't they? :D
And mea culpa, I typo'd; I have an M70 and not an M90. However, my experience with the M70 is that it's an excellent AK; probably one of the best imports you can currently get. The only mod I've done is an AK74-style brake; between that and the standard Yugo features(longer handguard, thicker trunnion, etc) even in 7.62x39 it is a very balanced, smooth shooting rifle and I don't feel that it's overgassed. The trigger is smooth(if a little mushy) with a bit of a 'springy' reset; it's not the best but far from the worst and definitely serviceable. I figure the M90 would be even smoother and more pleasant to shoot; if it wasn't for the fact I already have two ARs(and am building a third) and am running out of room in my safe, I'd really consider getting one.
If you like your brother's Arsenal, I think you'd have a similar experience with the Zastava. I've had some time behind an SGL-21 and my M70 feels very similar(other than some of the changes unique to Serbia/Yugo rifles). If you're a fan of the Kalashnikov design and want one in 5.56(not a bad idea as right now 7.62x39 seems to be significantly more expensive than 5.56x45) the M90 would likely be a very solid choice.

I love AKs nearly to the point of addiction. It's a problem that I don't see myself wanting to shake off anytime soon. I was thinking of either going the M90 route or wait for the K-USA KR-101 or KR-102 someday. The M90's bulged trunnion is the biggest selling point to me.
