Welcome back to another Gun Day Sunday! It is now New Year's Eve and I am still without my scanner. Is everyone ready to kick their 2023 druthers out and hope for a better year? I hope to keep improving my drawing and my draw from the holster. LOL. Like this week's girl's Walther PDP-F.

I can understand why someone would do it, but I'm just not on board with the tactic of attaching a visible light source to any of my 2A tools. I ALWAYS carry, and if the situation demands it, will use a flashlight in my off-hand as needed, but I just don't want to ever get used to having one attached like that.
One thing I've become enamored of is in having a laser attached to a FEW of my long guns (And am shopping around for one for my pistol). I like the near-instant target acquisition at range (I'm talking 100', and meant for night time deployment against the various wildlife critters that pester our ranch). Iron sights for ranged targets at night just don't work that well (And tracers in heavy woods with all the fallen debris isn't a wise option).
Different strokes for different folks I suppose?

I do like vis lasers! What I really find the most fun are IR LAMs under NODs but, holy cow, they were a pricey drop to get into. I mostly find WMLs good to have because there is always a need to ID targets when I did classes that focused on going from outdoors into a dark kill house and NODs were not an option. Which makes some sense because NV equipment takes some time to don when in a stressful situation.
