This is an idea that I've had for a while, it just took a long time to figure out. This creature is inspired by the Dug from Star Wars, a creature that uses its front limbs as legs and hind limbs as arms. I thought that if the Dug were chimpanzee like, what would a gorilla equivalent be like? What I ended up in the end is something that takes inspiration from gorillas, squirrels, sabretooth cats and with a dragon like snout. I spent a while trying to draw how the creature works, which is one of the reasons why the perspective looks odd. I originally thought of having the creature hold her hind limbs beneath her body but as I developed her upper body and made her more bulky, I decided that it might be better to make her a quadruped with an option of holding her hind limbs beneath her. I do have two roughs to the side showing the two different poses. I wanted to make her furred so I gave her really long, shaggy fur, then I felt like she needed a tail to complete her look and thought to go with a squirrel's tail. I think I might've gone a bit over the top with the tail. I decided to give her clothes that helped to hint at something more primitive.
I don't have a name for this character or for her species.
