Here's something that probably won't ever happen. Tangle the Lemur and Whisper the Wolf from the current IDW Sonic comics meet Bunnie Rabbot from the old Sonic SatAM cartoon and Archie Sonic comics.

I wanted to draw in a style that's almost but not quite the Sonic style. That's why the characters look taller than normal and why Whisper has a muzzle (she is a wolf). This drawing took a lot longer than I thought and the page is covered in stains and old erased lines as I tried to figure out each character. I tried to give each character a look that showed off their personality, with both Tangle and Whisper having a look like they've met an old childhood hero.

Whisper I tried to give a more shy, reserved look. I took the wave from a trading card.

Bunnie I tried to give her a confident pose. I wanted to give her a look that's not taken from one source. I based her mostly on her SatAM design with some inspiration from the Archie reboot. I accidentally made her taller than Whisper but maybe it works. It kind of gives her the impression that she's a bit older.

The hardest was Tangle, I wasn't quite sure how to draw her. I knew I wanted to make her excited. In the end I took the pose from a trading card and enamel pin. I think I got the perspective on her legs wrong.
