Me with frisco 1522 in 2007.
in 2002 the St louis steam train association announced that it would discontinue maintaining the Frisco 1522 in operating condition, becaused of increased costs for maintainence and insurance.

I don't know if y'all heard, but I'm starting a group called Fire Up Frisco 1522! the group's most important goal is to have Frisco 1522 run again for a 3rd life. but most of all is to have Frisco 1522 to run again for 2 reasons:
1. still be the only 4-8-2 Mountain type to operate in the U.S.
2. keep her title of being known as The Loudest Steam Locomotive in the World!
I'm the head of the group, or otherwise known as the CMO (Chief Mechanical Officer). I will need a couple more members to make the group official, mainly the members that I need to be apart of the group are those that saw Frisco 1522 operate back during her 2nd life. I was born in 1996, during which Frisco 1522 was still in her second life, but I didn't see the 1522 for the 1st time in my life until June of 2011, which of course shows this picture of 1522 in her second retirement.
