Yeah, I got mine for five bucks. Look for the surplus stores that aren't as advertised. I know there are a few in the hills here that nobody knows about!

They've gone up to $20 - $50 or more now, with the Japan radiation. My husband recently bought some for us and the kids, with new filters.

Yes, but this japanese variety is particularly nasty. With big pointy teeth. actually the stuff blowing over right NOW isnt the bad stuff as far as radiation poisoning goes, but its just the stuff from the leakage of one or two reactors right now (well as of last week)... Since then, theres been several other reactors start overheating and leaking, a couple explode, and at least one gone into full meltdown.

We're not walking around wearing the things, but its good to have on hand, just in case. Kind of like you don't go run out and buy flashlights and batteries and candles when the lights go out, or wait till you get cut to buy bandages.... you just have em on hand for when they DO.

i understand totally if i lived closer to that side of the united states near japan then hell ya i would have one handy for when the shit really hits the fan.
