I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My canines seemed to have grow a lot longer, and I had to hope it wasn't true.
It'd been years since I'd last gotten scratched by a cat, and nothing had happened then. I'd never heard of a case of Feline Excoriative Retroviral Syndrome taking so long to develop.
If my teeth really had changed, it would already be too late to seek a shot to prevent the virus from spreading. The only question would be, how far would it go before leveling off.
I'd heard of cases where it stopped with superficial changes, but usually it would extend as far as some other physiological change.
Would I end up with whiskers? A tail? Claws?
There would be no way to find out till it stopped.
Then again... What if it didn't?
