I wanted to try my hand at something new to make me feel better about myself.
Tbh, despite this being a (rough) sketch, I honestly am surprised at how cool that I made him.

Here is a redesign of my oc orc astronaut, Haruk. I always was confused why I was unhappy with my older version, and I realized why: it’s not cool.
I didn’t understand that what I wanted (and was attracted to) was a more bulky, powerful, masculine physique in a spacesuit. Something like power armor. And, well, what’s more kickass than a hunk of an orc (captain?) astronaut in an armored spacesuit with SpiKeS????
I have drawn armor before (see: Asgore), but I never really went sci-fi with it.
Something that I noticed is that you can (in my opinion) “fake” detail. What do all those switches and ports and antennae do? IDK whatsoever but it makes it more interesting!
Granted, I wanted a semblance of functionality. An earpiece for coms, a pack for life support, a control panel on the front…

I wonder if this will be anything later……….
