Yeah, when someone admits that the only reasons why the guy along is because they owed his dad a favor (as in, they didn't want him in the first place, but was obliged to), and that his village was eager to see him off (aka, it's an insufferable prat that quickly wears out his welcome)...
Those are just performative. The director decides the winner before the fight even starts, and the loser does his best to make it an enjoyable show before going down safely.
This is more like a high school boxer deciding he can take on a 20-something MMA who has a dozen first-place wins under his belt.

I knows Sparkles is only here for the lulz, but genuinely not sure why all the vitriol against him. He's literally just showed up, hadn't said anything, and everyone was already insulting him and his junk. Seems a bit overboard. Also, he clearly serves a purpose on the team: you need the handsome eye candy for the fans to latch onto.
While I wouldn't say he's a bad person and bad things deserve to happen to him. I also think this is a good opportunity to demonstrate how much control Lamb has when fighting with a level head.
Thinking back to that fight Lamb and Fenfen were training together, and she brought out that hammer as Fen was laying on the ground.

We all knew this would happen. It’s like we saw the future… in a team lineup after posted two years ago…

Both are assholes, but they are different assholes...
Morgan knows that she is an asshole and knows that she can back herself with confidence.
Captain 'dickless blowhard' Sparklepants relies on his body and 'dick' to get what he wants, he's not a trained fighter with any prowess in any sense of the word.

He's just as much of an ass as is Morgan. Captain Sparkles relies on his looks, body and charm to get things done and nothing else whereas Morgan, knowing that she is an ass, can prove herself without even trying.
In short:
Morgan, confident asshole
Sparklepants: Charming insincere asshole

Kind of shocked at how quickly people people in the comments are to judge.
All we know is his father wanted him out of the village for a while, Sha isn't his greatest fan, and he's easily flustered when blindsided with insults like that. Oh, and he's Pretty.
From that we have people who have decided they know his entire character and history cheering for him to have his ass kicked in on the basis of how terrible a person they have decided they know he must be? I guess they're too used to side characters being 2-dimensional stereotypical cliches? Because the only asshole we've seen the last two pages was Lamb.
He's going to get his ass handed to him - fun as it'd be to see otherwise, he's almost a rando extra and Lamb just had a story arc showcasing her being an epic badass murderblender, so his only hope is being a foreshadowing of competition at the tourny(where he's established to have come in 6th) being in or atleast closer to Fen's weight class than anything we've seen so far - but I hope he atleast makes a decent showing and proves to be a decent person.
People being so quick to condemn someone on the basis of so little is genuinely upsetting.

you do have a point, but a counterpoint is that his attitude is definitely showing elements of being "i'm superior, even if you win i still win in the long run" remember, he bragged about placing sixth. while that may be a big thing, we haven't got the details about the tournament. for all we know, the team placed last out of all teams because there were only six teams participating. in that case, he's inflating his achievement by giving only some of the picture. without knowing about the tournament itself, we don't know if he is boasting about that as an actual accomplishment or as a false victory. that means it's easier to assume based on his attitude that he coasted on his teammates and wasn't quite at their level, which is also implied by "Let Mis have him for a while, she'll whip him into shape." it also means he was boasting about his teammates skill more than his own if it was more than six teams in the tournament. also, the quality of the competitors is still an unknown. placing sixth in a local tournament is less impactful than placing sixth in a worldwide tournament, but it was never explicitly said what tournament he participated in. we can only imply that it's the same tournament the group is about to go to.
tl:dr
you have good points, but like all of us making our judgements, we don't have enough context to see if these are correct. even when defending him.
also, this.

Seriously? (paraphrasing)"We don't know if his team ranking 6th was good or not so it's reasonable to assume be was being intentionally deceptive, 6th is actually terrible, and also he's a leach who mooched off his teammates to get that far" ? That isn't even a coherent position, arguing that he got further than be deserved because he mooched on his teammates after arguing that the rank he boasted of earning might have been last place?!
We also have nothing to suggest Lamb has any idea who he is, and isn't just making assumptions on the basis of her own ego and Sha being less than thrilled to have him; she might, but it could go either way, so it isn't worth trying to read further into.
You just keep making assumptions on the basis of previous assumptions.
I have no idea how you think any of that is remotely sane. Yes, he could be lying, or being less than truthful, but engaging in character assassination built on fractal assumptions is just... wut.
And he said The tournament, not A tournament.
The only thing I'm assuming is that he probably isn't a compulsive liar who lacks the self control to refrain from telling lies while standing next to three people(She, Mis, birbdood) who are probably familiar with the tourney(and Sha seems to know his family) and have no reason not to call him out; even my suggestion that him being 6th could be used to foreshadow the tourney being tough if he puts up a good fight wasn't assuming that 6th must be impressive, but rather Doyalist speculation that a chance of Fer using his boast of being 6th as foreshadowing the competition being stiff is probably his only hope of not being completely stomped by Lamb. Also some more doyalist speculation that he's going to get his butt kicked in on the basis of narrative reasons, nothing to do with his character or history.
I hoped he turns out to be a good person who can put up a good showing, but that's not assuming that he is either of those things.

Somehow this feels like a real dick-move from the Panda.
She didn't know him and he did not say a word, now she just judged him based on his appearance and made fun of him for no reason.
A surprise would be if he would win and afterwards would act compassion-ed and gentle towards the Panda girl, while she is surprised by that. Why can't he be like that?

Whooo, there is a lot to unpack here. glad to see people are excited for the tournament. but I think I am going to lose that bet. Here I thought he make it to 5 pages. it may be 3 heh. but at least we may get to see an aquian fight, I always been curious other then lighting what else they may have in their toolkit to fight. (also I am laughing at the penis joke had to sneak that one in huh Fer?)
You can have an enjoyable fight with a pair of competent opponents. But to have a truly *memorable* fight, you really need a Heel, preferably one chewing the scenery, who gets his slice of humble pie.
This... has most of that. At least one competent opponent, and one Heel. It is yet to be determined if Twinkletoes is competent or not. Certainly not in Lamb's league, by any means, but he might still be competent by most people's standards. His problem is that Lamb is not 'most people'.
