A further iteration of the TIE Mono derived TIE Droid Fighter, designed as a heavier armed yet more short ranged version of the D1 TIE Droid Fighter. Armed with two twin SFS L-s7.2 Laser Cannons and two twin SFS L-s1.1 Laser Cannons, the D2 could maintain a sustained rate of deadly fire. The Primary weakness of the D2, much like the D1, was that it had an operating range in which if it was lured outside of said range than the fighter would shutdown as per its design and await recovery.
