A dark moment of inspiration
I was still in a blah, lack of creativity mood.
When I had somebody issue me a challenge , "Draw up Red Shetland in a very bleak, dark scene."
I thought about this...hard. Initially both Richard and I had a scene set up for Red Shetland #13 storyline where Karl is critically wounded and dying and Red in tears trying to save him.
Instead, I turned the table, Red is the one gravely injured/wounded and a upset Karl at her side. I wasn't sure if she'd be in her regular garb or more protected with heavier clothing/chain mail. Plus her wounds, toyed a arrow stuck in her chest or abdomen or a serious sword wound or three.
I also talked with Richard on this, he's offered to digitally color this too when inked up .
Sometimes, you got to think up the ending to a story. Even if its dark.
