(NMA) Realistic Sawsbuck Disguise
Figured that I would try to prioritize uploading something Halloween themed the next time I decided to reupload one of my commissions (or in this case, upload for the first time, since I don't recall ever seeing this get uploaded to the illustrator's gallery beforehand...?) before the season was long expired, as usual, I've waited so long now that I'm almost a month late. I originally intended to purchase some artwork for Halloween this year, but never ended up getting around to it... this image is actually a commission from the year prior, which I predictably have been procrastinating on submitting until now.
This idea catered towards spooky month was brought to life by the fantastic Exagono16! They don't have a profile on FurAffinity, so I can really only link their DeviantArt account if you want to check them out, which is something I recommend because they have a collection of cute, softly shaded in their profile to display (https://www.deviantart.com/exagono16)! He seemed to understand fairly well what I wanted despite using a translator; I love his unsaturated colouring style, it's easy on the eyes. Normally he doesn't incorporate dialogue in his images and prefers for the context of the scene to be communicated through actions and facial expressions, and so I also I have a textless version of this to post which doesn't obstruct as much of the background... which is also gorgeous, I might add.
It's a dark, thematically eerie Halloween night in the Pokemon world. Many youths dressed in costumes of various shapes and sizes roam the streets, carrying bags already partially filled with scrumptious confections and roaming from door to door in the hopes of endearing the residencies into supplying them with additional candy. Having already greeted and treated a number of these trick or treaters throughout the night you're eventually beckoned back to your front entryway by the faint, muffled footsteps that sound akin to hoofbeats against concrete, followed by the resounding ringing of your doorbell.
Swinging the door open to accept your newest visitor, you are provided a glimpse of someone wearing the most realistic costume you've ever seen: standing partially illuminated by your house's interior lighting on your porch is someone dressed in an incredibly lifelike Sawsbuck costume, although their antler foliage is inaccurate for Autumn. They carry a candy basket shaped after the likeness of a Pumpkaboo hung over their right arm, and the antler props atop their head perfectly encapsulate the full moon that shines overhead. Upon being noticed, they wave at you utilizing their other arm, although somehow they look somewhat nervous.
Their mask is oddly capable of displaying a wide range of emotions. Almost as if they're not wearing a costume, but are in fact, a real Sawsbuck. But that couldn't be the case... right? Sawsbucks can't walk on two legs, or speak! Another spooky Halloween mystery.

I'm sure there are some other Pokemon that would like to join August trick or treating, but unfortunately not everyone is as good at replicating humanoid locomotion as he is! Maybe Seph would accompany him in his candy gathering efforts; he's adept at it, too. But it's a little harder to hide the fact that you're not a person when you're like ten feet tall standing upright!
Maybe August should enter a contest for most realistic costume! He'd just have to ensure that nobody got too close to realize what's going on.
