No Longer a Mystery
Here’s another look at the Ford that I included in my last trio of Chrome photos here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53903658/ and identified as a 1950 model by
Perfesser-Bear. This time we can admire the chrome on the outside of the car.

True Story:
A man did, in fact, O.D. on chrome during our most recent outdoor car show.
It was a bright, sunny day, and the man in question (let's call him Larry, because that's his real name) started seeing things in all the chrome-shiny reflections.
For an hour or so, Larry ran around among the cars on the show field, randomly grabbing passersby like The Ancient Mariner and raving about how General Motors were doomed to extinction, how the Chrysler Company never got anything right and how Henry Leyland, who founded both the Cadillac and Lincoln brands, should be President (never mind that Mr. Leyland died in 1931).
We finally had to haul Larry away in an ambulance. Fortunately, a local car collector had his restored and fully equipped 1948 Cadillac Ambulance on the show field, so we didn't have to call a regular ambulance; we just loaded Larry into the '48 Caddy and sent him on his way.
that's not really a true story...
