Buck Brothers: Birth of the U.S. Marine Corps (11/10/23)
Today in the Vexillogical Corner...
The 10th of November is the day to celebrate the birth of the marines Established on the same year like the Usarmy and @usnavy, the Marine Corps is special of its kind. We had John Phillips Sousa, the conductor for the Marine Band playing the popular American March "The Stars and Stripes Forever."
In perspective taking, the Marines' hymn also contributes by helping other branches in the military as in: "We will fight our country's battles on the air, on land, and sea." This gives me a hunch that it may also refolk to other branches the Marines worked with side by side.
Onto the flag, a year ago, I recreated the United States Marine Corps flag before. I was running low on red, though the colors are scarlet and gold. The bald eagle, globe (Facing North Hemisphere), and anchor symbolized the Marines defending the nation. The motto is "Semper Fidelis" (Always faithful.)
In the Buck Brothers, a US Marine of the name of Welliver (last name appropriate) liked my flag idea for nopoleleftbehind and encouraged me to continue the project. Stripes E. (The Bald Eagle with the defeathered scalp) Is praised in the Buck Brothers for supporting the United States and the Buck Brothers and helping to strengthen the studio in Buckville and Fort Antlerhorn and the entirety of Antlerhorn Acres. This is the reason why he owns the American Flag, the Marine Flag, and the Captain's Colors.
