I feel like we're missing something. Why are the rest of the tribe moving into Drift's shelter? Didn't they have a whole tribe barrow?
Wait I just reread the earlier pages. Did everyone in this group get banished? That would explain why there's children with them and why the swarmed Drifts food...

Sneaky noms.
Truth though, I can't blame any of them. They look like they aren't starving - YET - but I get the impression they are getting close.
So many of us in the modern world don't know what it's like to be truly hungry. And I don't mean 'Oh, I missed breakfast and maybe lunch also'. I mean 'Oh I had half a stale cookie two days ago and don't remember the last time I had anything that could be called a meal.'
I. Am. Passionately grateful and thankful I have enough to eat in my life.

Comparing the yinglet claws with the claws on that massive limb, I can't help but wonder how massive the full beast would've been. We may never see how Drift managed to take it down, but it does give me hope that he caught prey of that size, since it either means his strength for hunting or smarts for trapping have grown immensely in his solitude.
Also, I find it highly amusing how the hands stick out on the opposite sides when Life folds his arms behind his back, haha. Neat little detail to play on their stretched anatomy compared to our own.
