Minelf's or Mountain Elf's as their knows as came about a little over a thousand years ago when the Minoan people (minotaurs) conquered most of the known world.

Into the mountain range that made the Carpatha basin lives the mountain elves. Though they fell to the Minoan might, the minotaurs saw their magical potential and sought to make it their own. They bred with the natives in an attempt to ensure the magic would be in the next generation, this would not come to fruition till well past the collapse of the Minoan empire and people.

What you see here is the end goal, the culmination of their plan. A blending of elf and minotaur. They keep to themselves in the mountain range over Carpatha, with this chief being a loyal subject of the Grand Duchy of Carpatha itself due to the Grand Duchy holding the children of tribal chief's hostage to ensure they don't raid the Duke or Duchesses lands.
