After Vault 34's reactor became unstable, the vault dwellers were forced out into the Mojave. While most of their people went north to Nellis Air Force Base, a trio wandered off in a different direction seeking friends rumored to be in one of the other Vaults. They travel around the Mojave avoiding Caesar's Legion and the NCR, traveling around the area of the Strip while they seek other vaults.
During a conflict with the Powder Gangers, they came across a dead body with a Mojave Express bag. Having killed his opponent just before his own death, they discovered clutched in his paw the Lucky 38 Platinum Chip. Rowan cheerfully displays it while Kathris keeps watch on the road ahead, and Lyndon checks his Pip Boy to see where they are headed next, detecting a possible Vault up ahead...

I'll have to call for backup! I'm still kinda new to New Vegas. I've only been playing for a few weeks, but so far I'm enjoying it. My first time through, I think I'm going to go with the NCR, but I'm thinking on the next play through, I may try legion, just to see what happens.
