Here is the third of the Spring Break Daily updates!

I appologize for this small little bit. I've caught a cold in the past few hours... I intended to draw a fourth panel but I'm feeling a bit too out of it to get it up.

Actually this started off as a way to practice drawing with a pen free-style. I had forgotten my pencils and erasers at home and well... I only had a few G-2 Pilot Blue pens on me. So I decided to try out a theory on inking i'd read up that morning. It said this:

"you have to be able to draw with the pen instead of just tracing the pencil lines."

to be sure I was completely confused by this. but I decided to try it out and wow was I surprised. drawing with a gel pen is different from a normal dip pen but I did this entire 3 panels without assistence. the only panel I screwed up on was the middle one. I spaced the features too far apart and almost gave up. I decided to rework it a bit and it came out pretty well. the first panel's the weird one.

It's supposed to be of the umbra smart talking me by mimicking my appearance. I wasn't confident enough to convey this with pen so I'll have to make it up next page. hopefully I'm better by then. I'll have to have Teo wig out about the sudden appearance change. I've got an explanation for it... in a few pages that is.

the image's greyness is due to the pen being grey. I set the scanner to convert it into a grey-scale. it sort of took me quite literally on that. I'll have to rescale it later and work it into a darker tone.
