Is Chili carrying the equipment for both gals while her fearless leader only has a bindlestiff? Chill-girls gotta have some words!
Hmm, Nigel should have some light sensing capabilities even without lenses the same way you can see the blood vessels in your fingers if you put them over a light -unless his eyeballs have become solid like boiled eggs... Ewww!

I'm sorry, but let's take a moment to appreciate that first panel that shows determined Leo silently advancing at high pace with a heavy backpack, while Chili is making a glorious ruckus just carrying cooking stuff, throwing into oblivion any chances this party might have had to move silently (not that Nigel and poor poor Tristan are helping in that regard).
Hello, Viktria! Big fan of your work on Tree of Life. I was curious about what types of digital brushes you use for you art and if you had to play with any of the settings, especially on the rough sketches? I've been trying to make more concept art in Photoshop, but I keep getting overwhelmed by all the different settings. Thought that it might be worth asking another artist for a few tips?
Since I learned from observation rather than from asking others, I can only speak from my own experience. ^^;
I think sketching should be done with a brush that is most comfortable for you to use when you need to draw shapes quickly. That brush doesn't have to be the same as the one you use for lineart (but in my case the brush is the same) That brush can be anything, try the one you like at first.
My tablet is a Wacom Intupus medium, it has a very good pressure sensitivity. Because of that I can set it to draw a line even when I'm barely touching the tablet, and it helps me draw lines without physical effort. And if drawing lines isn't physically demanding, it will be less mentally demanding too. I don't cramp up as much on shapes and lines.
I use "mapping pen" brush for everything, and "oil paint" brush especially for backgrounds. And a plain spray paintbrush, among other things. I've always strived for simplicity because I don't "paint". Digital painters use a lot of type of brushes because of texture. And for different type of strokes too. I tthink that what gives mood to their pictures as well.
The things I really use when sketching are: Just that one brush, of course the eraser and the undo button, transparent layers, (sometimes my sketches also have sketches), and some darker shade for a plain background. When the sketch is done, I colour it in with shades of grey. I highlight the character, where the light is coming from, what space they are in if any. And then I change the color of the whole sketch (in CSP it works like this "Edit -->Tonal Correction --> Color balance)
Here's a short gif about one of my sketches. I hope it helps.

I hope I could help some! ^^
