Dryad's and Ents ( Dryents)
Honestly going down the line of creature races I want to design, for a more 'MLP' like setting, one of the top ones was Dryads. For you see ever since I saw the design of 'Gaia Everfree' from the 'My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree' I've always wondered what she would have looked like in MLP:FiM universe instead of Equestria Girls, as she is clearly a Dryad. But before I jump onto that design for her, I wanted to make the 'basis' of what the species looks like, firstly I'll like to point out that Dryad is the name of the Females and Ents are name for the Males (I haven't designed the male design yet, but it's not that much different from the female Dryads)
The reason I did this, is because I've been planning to design Treebeard for the the LoTR X MLP crossover pic's, and while looking at stuff for design research it came to mind that Dryads and Ent's are supper similar...so why not in my world make them the same race? So their race name is Dryents they are forest folk that rarely interact with other creatures, and mainly live solitary lives'. But this doesn't mean their antisocial it's just Dryents need to be spaced fairly far away from each other because they absorb a lot of surrounding nutrient's from the forest they inhabit. While the young can live within adult territories with less fuss, that is not the same for the elder's, the older a Dryent get's the more space they need to absorb energy.
Dryents are one of the most ancient race's to exist, and have not changed much from the ancient past, which is unfortunate as the world they live in has. While Dryents are not normally violent, with the rise of agriculture and logging some Dryent and creatures have gotten into conflict. While some smart creatures in agriculture worked out that if they work a deal with a Dryent and share the land, their crops will be fruitful. While those who want to build new structures and tear down forest to do that, will find out that you do not mess with a creature older than your great, great, great grandparents, Dryents have no qualms with protecting their home, even if it means killing you to do it.
