hey, y’all. i’d appreciate it if you read this in its entirety. it’s quite important.
“let me explain: i hate ‘minors dni,’ ‘🔞,’ and other forms of this specific boundary. see, i’m a minor. as a minor, all the adults (especially the 18+ers) think that i’m dumb and stupid and also the kind of person to yell at them if they ship x and y or make suggestive art of z and w. that’s the perception of other minors, right? why shouldn’t it apply to me? well, for one: i’m not going to yell at you. this is in part because i’ve been blocked by two 18+ers. one was on twitter, and i can quote that part in their bio. ‘I block minors🔞🔞🔞’ i only saw it after i replied to one of their art pieces. so, i voiced my discontent like a fool; a half-brained, ignorant, impulsive fool. i was blocked. i took a screenie, and made it my pfp. i haven’t changed it to this day. now, the other was on furaff, where i failed to read the sign (make it clearer dammit) and noted them. i suppose they tried to let me down easy, but all they did was offend me, albeit unintentionally. i made shitty art with what they said in it, but i moved on soon enough. however, these experiences gave me a crippling fear of being blocked. so, whenever i see an 18+er on my feed, i mark them as a gaywad internally and continue about my day, so i can interact with them in the future. but i still take issue with it! i’ve seen so much 18+ers that i’ve developed prejudice towards them! i stereotype them as whiny losers who cry if a minor gets within a mile of them. i stereotype them as people who abuse the block button; and some do. one 18+er i got on twitter posted more content on the porn account, but left nothing for the minors. and i think that’s a dick move. i also believe this: if you have ‘minors dni’ in your bio, you’re a hypocrite. you have to respect your own boundaries, just like i, amongst others, have to respect yours. but what do i know? i’m just some dumb kid, i should be doing my fucking homework. but i always do my homework, i’m at least sort of responsible for my actions, unlike the 18+ers. i have a carrd, that rudely tells 18+ers to fuck all the way off. this would work… if anyone read it! this is a proper exposé for my next problem: the artstyle. sometimes i see a cute artstyle on my feed. it’s nice, but i make sure to check the bio. and what do you know? ‘minors will be blocked.’ i leave, disappointed that the artist is a dickhole. but you know, i’m a smart sort-of-person. if i were eighteen, i’d be a real person. but adults on the internet treat minors like insects; vermin to crush and sweep under the rug. i don’t want to be a burden on your shoulders. i believe that i’m not an ass like the minors you see on a daily basis. i’m at least a little bit different; i’m afraid to make people mad, but will that ever be enough?”

some furs block minors cause they still have Vietnam memories about horny teens asking for rp or starting nosense drama.
Also, Given the hard times the fandom Is passing they don't want to have issues with some angry parents trying to explain them that furries are not trying to indoctrinate their kids into becoming perverts.

Well, this problem is very temporary and won't last for long now probably. Time is very relative and being a minor is just one of states of being. I don't think it has to define you and so on. I would just ignore all this stuff about blocking minors and such and just focus on enjoying things here, interacting with those that are worth it in my eyes and also learning about myself and people through stuff on this website.
For example I'm now 19 years old and I don't feel that different from when I was 16 for instance. It's all so temporary and short-lived. Just your current experience assembled by you as you are now and the reality around you. If you won't care about these people, they won't be really a problem anymore. :P You're a person of your own and an individual, not a minor with it being all there is about you. If someone doesn't see that, then you would probably be seen by these people as something of similar unimportance no matter who you are.
For example I'm now 19 years old and I don't feel that different from when I was 16 for instance. It's all so temporary and short-lived. Just your current experience assembled by you as you are now and the reality around you.
