Writing Contest | October 2023
Huddle up around the campfire with us, it’s spooky month and with the cracking embers under the moonlight, it’s time to tell stories that will raise even the bravest cat’s hair…
This October, Fireside will be hosting a Spooky Writing Contest!
It is aimed at writers of all corners: poets, novelists, writers, scribble squirrels…
There will be no word count, so be as short and sweet or long as you want! All that we ask is that it has spooky vibes with all the lovely atmosphere of Halloween. You may weave your stories in comedy, romance and darkness, featuring your own characters or yourself.
There will be two sections to this contest: SFW and NSFW
The sfw section can include some mild mentions of blood.
The nsfw section can include a kinky twist to the story or horrific imagery. We ask however that you preface your work with appropriate Content and Trigger Warnings. This is supposed to be fun, not a trigger contest.
We will have a dedicated forums in the Discord server for submissions.
Your submission can be a PDF file or a link to a website. Please do not post text directly in the forum chat.
The winners will be elected by popular vote. We will have up to 3 winners possible!
🔥 Winners will get a colored sketch as a prize !! 🔥
Your stories may also be read by our lovely artists during our live spooky story readings that will take place during the month of October!
Rules:
* You can only submit once in each sfw and nsfw categories.
* You must be a member of our Discord Server.
* Please put Content & Trigger Warnings as a preface to your work.
* Work is a PDF file or a link to a website.
Winners will be announced on October 30th! You have 1 month starting today!
