I was like "Oh, he's seen X-men Evolution" because she goes back to africa in one of the story arcs... but nope, different character... she really does look like Storm...

I actually am a pretty avid x-men fan! I've seen some of X-men Evolution, but I'm bigger on the comics.
I wish I'd realized she looked so much like storm earlier.. I actually created her before reading/watching x-men. Her abilities aren't similar to Storm's in any way (with the exception of this case, but she's out of character here). Technically speaking, my character isn't actually African either.. she's really out of context here.

The art really seems to come to life. Literally my living room now has storm clouds in it -.-

The only similarity is the hair and skin color~ Honestly it always bothers me that some act as if storm owns the coloration combination. I don't really think that character looks like storm, but I still like how she looks xD

Mmhm! To be honest, I agree. xD I'll admit it's an unusual color combination, but the color combination shouldn't really be limited just because one character has it (consider how many caucasian main characters with brown/black hair there are!).
