A Million Miles Away - movie review
So... Amazon Prime produced a movie, and did something a little different - they had a premier at the movies before releasing it to their cable network. We saw the invite and decided to make it a night out.
The image above is not from the movie... well sort of... while we were waiting, they had a photo toy to play with, so you could put your own picture in the movie poster. I thought our Husky would look a whole lot better than me, and I was right.
As to the movie... I loved it. It made me realize how much I truly miss the Space Shuttle. It's not woke, it's not violent, there's no gun play, explosions, or terrifically LOUD music. As strange as it might seem, compared to the usual x-x-x we have come to expect from the movie industry, this is a true story about a real hero who overcame unimaginable obstacles to become an astronaut.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I have a dog to chase down.

Have you read "Dune" by Frank Herbert? If you haven't, you really should. Another good read is Michael Crichton's "State of Fear". I don't read books as much as I used to since I do a lot of my reading online but when I get into a good one, I'll binge read it until I'm done. I can do that now since I'm mostly retired...until the phone rings. And I'll blame you for that. "The Dread Pirate Tabor" hooked me on your writing...damn you. LOL

I do tend to enjoy Michael Peña’s acting, even in cases when the film is middling. Some producer was clearly inspired by seeing him in “The Martian”. Should really rewatch that sometime.
