Ancient and eccentric, as a mortal Damu was an alchemist of renown.

Born in a humble rural village thousands of years ago, Damu expected her life to be very uneventful as girl. She would raise a family grow old and fat, and die in her sleep.

this would not come to pass. A terrible plague gripped her home, with her her mother soon falling ill. With ever adult wracked with the the illness, Damu was instructed to run to nearby city and get a doctor.

She braved the trek and after days found a doctor willing follow her back. When they arrived now a living soul remained.

The doctor would take orphan under their wing, raising her as a successo. It was in her teens damu became determined to conquer death itself.

During her explorations and voyages, she devised method to attain immortality. Her magnus opus, a spell to cast onto one's own blood.

And thus Damu became the first Vampire.

Thousands of years past and Damu is mostly seen as a key figure with the Mortis Imperium, when not in torpor, she is often see as the vampire clan's De facto leader.... though as an Elder Vampire, long torpor does have a tendency to cause gaps in her memory, and her long unlife has caused her eccentries to become more pronounced. She often spends more time with her wives, or trying to find a way cure herself of her need and urge to consume blood...
