THAT I can believe.
.... only had a nightmare from one boss and that was the "Ear-Worm" from Borderlands Pre-Sequel 'Claptastic Voyage'
I just couldn't damage it enough to break its shields before it called for minions, allowing its shields to regenerate.
Yes. I Had a genuine nightmare WHILE THAT DAMNED SONG WAS PLAYING!!!!

I want to correct my brother; I first picked up it with 4Answer on the 360, and loved the shit out of the series ever sense. I love how we can make are mechs however we want (within reason and there's a ton of room to do so.)
Also; while I don't always get a chance to show it, I love mecha and Armored Core just knows how to scratch that itch outright, and the stories are always fun, and the lore too.
I unfortunately never got to meet the nightmare that is 9ball, but I am enjoying the reactions people get when they hear his theme.

I heard about Armored Core back in High School, but the most exposure I had to with the series was mostly Yoytube videos of Gen V and some Gen IV. It took almost a decade for me to finally started playing the games, starting with the PSX trilogy on my modded Vita, followed by AC3P on that platform.
I gotta say that, after beating all of those games, the PSX games still held up to this day, even with their flaws. As for AC3P, it's a surprisngly content-dense PSP port that plays perfectly on a Vita, since I can map the camera to the D-Pad, which in turn is mapped to the right analog stick so I can play that game like a standard Third Person Shooter.
Either way, I just love how each and every one of the games have something unique to offer, hence why I think they're all timeless, and don't get me started on the soundtrack.
Also, I main Tank ACs because legs are overrated, and extra bulk and firepower go brrr.

Interesting stuff :D
I do like using the bulky bipedal mech builds I have, but I don't have an outright preference, I just be buildin' shit in general and I have some ACs for specific purposes.
RED-REX for example is designed to make fights as short as possible by riddling the enemy with bullets to stun and then obliterate with high explosives.
If I have to fight for alot longer, RED-TRIKE is for that, and it's one of the few that have treads.
Some are not even serious:
Crimson Salamander just loaded up with bad cook flamethrowers because why the hell not :V did it once in a multiplayer and next match everybody was loaded with badcooks because it was just stupid fun.
and Brick Hornet when I just wanna be a pain in the ass, but don't expect to survive much :V
I wish we could dual wield blades like in 4A, RIP Blade-Tiger ;v;
