How's it going,
Walking into the building of your possible future employment can be intimidating - if it's your first job ever and you're young then that doesn't ease the thrill. When you got folks and friends at home waiting for you to say you got the 9-5, it's socially terrifying to see if you end up getting rejected. But when you're initial welcome is that of gratitude and kindness, it helps you be comfortable and you're relaxed demeanor makes for a great first impression.
Polo isn't too afraid, his instinctual optimism helps with that a ton so he gets less stressed out where others would. But that doesn't mean he isn't weary, he can be a timid dog at times when it comes to the unknown. Thankfully here Mason is that friendly first hello with it's encouraging vibes pushing Polo forward to his destination.
Hopefully his very canine habits don't pour over too much onto his species counterpart interviewing him ha-ha.
My very first job was a courtesy-clerk at a subdivision of Kroger. I loved it and made a ton of cool friends along the way. I did my job and had tons of fun while engaging with customers and co-workers. Infact it was there where I came up with this comic idea, and while I made the rounds I used that time to think of all the stories I could tell using it. But my art capabilities were no where near how they are now, so I barely drew anything worthwhile posting. It's why way back I posted very little, I mainly did work behind the scenes trying to get my style/ability to a point where I was happy to post it. But now that I've reached that area, it's been posting where I can!
I again love the idea of anthros coinciding with humans, and I'm sure you can tell the special aspect of the super-market now that it's pretty much on full display. But I don't want to explain it too much as the next panels are going to be very dialogue heavy and super lore-esk. I'm excited to have finally gotten to this point as I'm able to show you all the world here in this comic and all it's nuances. I'm hoping it's as interesting as the length between each panel XD (I'm working on the output, bear with me please!)
I do wish the backgrounds are much better to you then my previous. I tried to experiment with just using colors and some simple outlines and then hard inking the more important stuff. I think it looks really cool and while it took forever to get the hang of, it was because this process was new to me. Now that I understand how to do it, I feel much more confident in doing it faster as it really streamlined the whole process.
Perspective is still far from perfect, but it's miles better than what I used to do. Please, any critique about anything do send me way. I'd like to see what others think and where I can draw things more appealing if possible.
All in all, I'm happy! Ha-ha, just imagine looking through the pet-treat aisle and seeing an anthro dog staring at a large milk bone with carnivorous intent XD
With best wishes -
have a good one.

yay it continues. ^^ You're slowly improving and applying new knowledge and it shows. ^^ I wouldn't really want to point out anything in particular since their things that'll develop and improve over time. I'm sure. ^^
One thing though is that your writing can be a little hard to read, at least to me. While I do like the handwritten text and most of the words you can guess through context but...in the third panel, I'm not sure what Mason is saying: "a large feline fellar with (?) just as good as yours"?
Also what's it say over the large feline fellar's phone? ^^' I can't decipher that. *squints* O.O... =.=

It makes me happy to see others following along with the story here, I'm excited to showcase these characters and make them feel real to the readers when they are fleshed out enough in both action and speech.
It's also good to know my work appears to be improving and changing, hopefully for the better!
I totally understand where you're coming from, and my handwriting is diifficult to read and in this panel much so. Frankly when reaching the end of a panel, I don't put as much effort into my penmanship because of the burnout and desire to get things done. But it's hurting the quality and I'm gonna work on that now. I'd like to switch to font based lettering but simply getting better with writing will be my best bet :D
In regards to Mason - he says 'nags' which for me was slang for 'clothes/dress' but I totally forgot that it's not common for others and it doesn't make sense :(
The little text over the phone of the Ocelot bro is - '-2 elixir'
It was a dumb reference to Clash Royale, my cousin is addicted to it XD
Thanks for the feedback and wonderful comment ;D

Ah thanks for clearing that up. ^^ I mean, once you get used to someone's handwriting you can read it. Now I know what your letters look like when you write them and I have a reference to pull from to read everything else you write. 😋
It's improving. The more you do it, the more stuff you'll be able to put into it. Right now it might be extremely exhausting to add shading because you have to think about every single corner that might cast a shadow in your picture...where is the light coming from, how far away is it, what kind of light is it and so on but once you internalize this way of thinking, adding shadows becomes second nature. ^^ So take it one bit at a time as available "processing power" increases with which you can incoporate more tasks on the fly. :)
So as long as you keep going, I'm sure you'll improve. ^^

It's so cute how he walks with his paws up like that. A distinction between human and anthro dog. And in the third panel he has all the expression as if the brown dog said "Squirrel over there". xD You translate dog to anthro in a fun, relatable way [the way we see dogs acting in real life].
It's those little details I'm excited to try to incorporate into my comic here, it can make the anthropomorphic characters appear more 'animal' than just a different type of person. There are other ideas to have these characters act like their 'feral' counterparts and I hope you find them endearing :D
Ha-ha, Polo can be a dog's dog at times and I bet him actually getting his attention grabbed by a fast moving squirrel isn't out of the question XD

Aww man - thank you so much for comment!
I've been wanting to do a comic about the idea of humans/anthros for a while and this comic is going to be the culmination of all those ideas.
It's been a slow start and go along - I just haven't had time as of late to do anything significant to upload but in due time :D
Haha, it's heartwarming to see Polo being spoken of this way. He is a goofy dog and acts more canine than his peers so that derpy dog factor hopefully makes him look adorable :)

That's one grievance I have with many furry/anthro comics. I just wished the aspects of anthros in a given world especially one with humans as well were more pronounced and they appeared way more animal like so as to - as you say - feel more like anthros!
There's nothing wrong of course with more laid back stories such as these but I want more 'grounded' stuff ha-ha.
Your kind words do mean a lot, and are much appreciated!
