Half of the attacks I recieved this year's Artfight featured Mitsune and/or Otterful^{tentative name}. Any other character in my roster got only one or zero attacks. It's absurd to me, comical, even, how hard these two were owning. This was meant to be the sharks' year, with Nompy as the star. I even subtly ordered the chars on my page to imply a top 6 and bottom 6 lineup. And yet, it was 2 of the back six who hit it big. The otter I can see, but like. i did NOTHING to sell the world on Mit. I had only posted one drawing with him prior to the event. The ref sheet I gave him was notoriously half-baked. I mostly just added him out of an obligation to increase the roster this year. I haven't really figured out what the "core" of this character is. The only design in the roster that feels less unique in my eyes is my bunsona. I question what the world saw in him (that other characters lacked). Most of his fanart featured him and the ott together, playing on their BFF status, so maybe this concerns what the world saw in them.
Anyways, here's a ranking sheet. In the first two scenes, Mit wearing goggles and Ot riding Nompy are references to two of my favorite defenses.
