Why are fur's panicking when they see her charging at them with the chainsaw..

.. she's only aiming for the "still partially frozen" rack of ribs that the town butcher sent her.. She wants to host a BBQ tonight.. The more separated they are, the faster they'll thaw...

Because she's still incredibly clumsy and shouldn't be running with a chainsaw.

See, that I can believe.. you're supposed to *WALK* with the chainsaw and NOT start it up till you've got on your goop eye shield and are standing RIGHT NEXT to yer rack o ribs..

( of course horror fans would hate it when the masked maniac " walks" up to the victim.. who is expected to WAIT there for the guy to arrive... have a spot of tea.. check his e-mail on the ol' pocket cell phone.. make a couple of calls to both the police and tell his girl that he's not coming over for dinner and sex this weekend... yea.. I think the audience would be asleep by the second inbox check..

*SNIRKS* reminds me of a really OLD black and white " horror / monster" movie... crashed alien ship.. creature comes out to eat the victims.. the "creature" was actually a huge lump of shag carpeting that they did some fast touchup work on because they'd spent all the budget on hiring extras, camera ect... this * terrifying* monster was ( I think ) carried, moved by 2 people.. and it chased victims down at a "Blistering, mind numbing speed of 1 and a half miles PER Hour... oh ghawds the agony.. there's scenes when it invades a huge high school dance hall.. yet the crowd COWERS in the far side of the hall.. yes.. like we couldn't pick up a few chairs or something and just "WALK AROUND IT on the far side of the room... it only takes it 20 minutes to half turn around and then chase us to get back to the double doorway again.. yes we're taking our life in our hands here trying to outrun this monster..

This is also why Palladium games have "Save vs Horror" and "Horror Factor" checks.
Some people can actually deal with crazy $#!+ from previous exposure to other crazy $#!+. Coalition Troops, thanks to their training, react better than Robotech Pilots or Ordinary Person O.C.C.s against Cthulhu-lookin' things.

Translate that to "Palladium tries to be Cinematic" and you have a reverse engineered excuse for the way people act in horror movies. Crippling "Save vs Horror Factor" checks and Psionic Influence of the Supernatural.

I've been an ongoing tabletop gamer / RPG'er for now on 24+ years sweet sir.. we're actually doing a regular sunday game and posting the audio text on the GM's channel to help give more signal boost to both the Palladium Game" titles ( both old and new ) as well as the GM of my party works as a part time editor for text and such FOR Kevin Simbidia himself to help with the workload online for pallidum games workshop!

An excellent choice of references here. While I am more a fan of Voorhees or Kruger, I must still tip my hat for a classic like Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
As for Monica ad her new toy, I personally am gonna say its less she is clumsy and more just excited to have a chance of sharing a fun holiday with so many people. I mean attention is like a drug to her, makes her giddy and prone to accidents.
