Buck Brothers: Apollo 11 Mission Memoriam (7/20/23)
Today in the Vexillological Corner... The 20th of July marks the successful lunar landing back in 1969. Today's artwork depicted two pictures of the American flag on earth and on the moon. This was very relaxing to draw, and I have even used crayola to color the sky and the pole. That mission is one of the reasons why the "Space Race" was a successful event for the United States. Even though they weren't the first to be in space, they were the first to be on the moon!
Flag Fact: The 3x5 flag on the moon was made by none other than Annin Flags @anninflagmakers, the first company that took Old Glory to the moon! "WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND" - Neil Armstrong
