**Giggles!**
As I am over-charged this morning and feeling somewhat creative like I did back thirteen years ago or more, I'm going through my galleries on Deviant Art and FurAffinity, just looking at some of the classic works of my friends, fellow artists who I have commissioned, and myself. It's really heartening and encouraging to see these works on my 27 inch Apple, especially things like the model sheets that I have designed so many years ago. And I have found a few things that demand reposting. For example, this super-adorable picture that kecomaster did for me a while back. Within either story that I w write, be that "Destiny's Daughters" or "Stretching Things", Bleu Carpenter is Israfel Vincent's best friend bar none! Now, people might scratch their heads and ask, what about Caitlynn P. Wildfire or Princess Loonia Infinity or even Sandra Ruvery, Keco's original character. Well, you could say that, but few have the history that the blue haired gal has with the beloved copper top! Their Pops served in the Vietnam Conflict in the 1970s and their families were very close. Now, there was a bit of a dust-up between the fathers of these two best friends over a rumor about Bleu's Mom trying to start some sort of romantic advances ... and while this was proven to be untrue and forgiven, the thought stayed in the back of Bleu's Pop for years. Drinking and depression after his beloved wife died drove the poor man almost insane, something that I have a good idea how that feels. Unfortunately, Bleu's Pop took his rage and frustration out on the blue-haired gal. When Israfel discovered this when they were together one day while swimming at the family townhouse of the Verdeschis, the copper top begged her friend to tell her what was going on. The dark discovery of this terrible secret would take years to work through and Bleu finally confessed. The copper top went and confronted Bleu's Pop at O'Connel's, the favorite bar in Crossroads, Georgia. And when Bleu's father tried to fight Israel, who took the three swings to her body, the elasticity helping blunt the blows, the man realized what he was doing and broke down in a tearful and heart-wrenching confession! Israel promised that she would not abandon her father's best friend in his time of need and helped not only him but Bleu to work out the problems. It would take a year and a lot of understanding between all involved, including the aid of Father Murphy, the head of St. John's Church where all of the Verdeschis and Carpenters went to for generations, but the good news is Blleu's old man never raised his hand in violence against her or anyone else ever again.
Now, before you ask, this was based off of a true story that I went through back in my youth, but it was never resolved. A good friend of mine was over at may folk's place and we were getting ready to go swimming in the unground pool. I thought it was strange that she was wearing a t-shirt, but I would notice the bruises on her body through the damp material. I ended up asking her about it and she showed me. We talked for a good while and then she went home. I'm not sure how this happened, but I never saw her again. This is how I'm remembering this today, though I'm sure if you have been following me for a while, you will remember some of the story. I never got over this, often blaming myself for being too curious or concerned, but Pop told me that I did what I felt was right ... and all I could do is have faith that she got help. Bleu Carpenter is my honoring the memory and also bringing up the subject of the distaste I have for people who cannot control their rage. But I understand it too, unfortunately. I have a wicked temper of the Irish within me and a strong perchance for drinking that Mom was always concerned about, especially since that was something that Pop and she knew from the advisory group that were working with my folks to adopt me. Now, I have no memory of my biological family ... and while I am grateful for them giving me life, but also for giving me more by putting me up for adoption.
