Birthday Wooden Railway Items
I recently turned 21 (full-fledged adult, WHOOOO!!!), and I got a train table. The table came with a couple TWR items I didn't have, and with some birthday money I got from family, I got even more items. Let's go over them (Right to Left), shall we?
Molly: Got with the train table. One I remember having for a time in my original collection. Pretty glad to have a fan favorite in my collection, and one from my childhood.
Ferdinand: Another from my original collection that I got with the table, except this is a newer version from 2013, like my Bash and Dash (Got extras of them from the table, not shown here). Glad to have all 3 logging locos at last.
Bear: got a 2013 Diesel 10 with the table too, he didn't have his claw. I already have the original (a far superior one) So I figured I'd use this model to make a custom of Bear using it. Usually people use the original D199, but I think the 2013 Diesel to is closer to a class 35 than 199 is.
Billy: "Why the heck did you get Billy of all models?" you might be asking. I just had a Billy kick going on around the time. it's faded for the most part since I got him, but hey, he adds variety to my collection.
Douglas: Another one I had from my childhood. TBH, I don't know why I didn't get him much sooner, but better late than never. Donald WILL be one of the next TWR items I get.
Peter Sam: I've never had ANY models of Peter Sam growing up. He became my favorite narrow gauge engine in recent years and I'd wanted his original TWR model for a long time. Finally, after all this time, I've got it and I couldn't be happier.
Box Cars: Classic pieces that I picked up so I could have more rolling stock. Yellow box car has two nails of different head sizes on top, making it my 3rd factory error item alongside my models of Splatter and Dodge with the other's faces. Ironic thing is that I had the yellow box car in my original collection.
Winter Caboose: One I remember having from my early childhood. It's a beautiful model and a nice novelty piece.
Harold: Another one I had during my childhood (albeit an older one from 2012), that came with the table, and that I'm surprised I took this long to get. For a long time I used the Take N Play and later a Tomy Harold. Glad that I now have a wooden Harold to match the rest of my collection.
I'd say the 21st has been one of my best birthdays to date.
