Short little sequel, which is sort of a prequel I guess. If it wasn't clear, Michael is trying to speak Mandarin and not doing well. But hey she likes him regardless. Also, for those that actually know Mandarin and wondering why Cynthia's maternal grandmother is called nainai and not lailai. Well, this comic originally had the joke that Nainai would say Cynthia wasn't a good teacher and the last panel would have been Cynthia sad facing over hearing that. So, Cynthia isn't good at Mandarin and called Yu-lan, nainai instead of lailai and it just stuck... this is how I come up with lore, overthinking things. Also dang, rare to not see Cynthia in a pic.
