Originally uploaded to my Deviantart Page on May 31st, 2023, I did not have time to properly post everything at the time and noticed it was missing from my FA gallery, I aim to fix that.
You have come a long way, have you not? To be a common foot soldier who fought in many years of warfare deserves a suiting reward. Blessed by your armor in "Mythril" with heavily enchanted gold plates so you may deflect rounds back at your enemy. Your rifle, blessed with proper reverence and customized to your liking. A battalion of fresh new skirmishers at your command, you will rise above and show the new recruits the way of battle. The pillars shall protect, and your sharpened mind is a more valuable asset than your gear in battle could ever provide. ~Thomza Materia
Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Today i bring to you another character class from the Warrior of the Pillars. This being an upgraded "Riflebold" which you can read more up on here: Units of Captain PiK's Armada: Riflebold
Now, despite all of that all of these factions still fall under the Pillars of Creation, just these Riflebold Veterans fall under the Pillar's direct command instead of Captain PiK. These are soldiers who have decided to follow under a more religious route for their upgrades and would rather train up new "skirmisher" recruits than to sit in a trench all day. There is also a lot of rivalry when it comes to regular Riflebolds, Sharpshooters and the Rifleguardian veterans of who are the top of their class. Rifleguardian veterans also must undergo intense religious and physical training to ensure they're "worthy" of their gifts. If approved? They are given the blessed armor, and if they fail? They are sent away and back to the original Riflebold squad while giving them a "melting brand" on their scales that will eventually fade away and when it does, they can try again.
The Rifleguardian Veterans are also meant to look a whole lot more regal for being a Copper Fruit Kobold. Hence the various swirls on their tail and having a "shinier" appearance so they can inspire the troops almost in a "Knightly" fashion. Hence also why their gear instead of looking like traditional military gear looks closer to that of a warrior. It is still meant to have that high fantasy feeling as these soldiers are ones blessed with the power of their god behind him.
Other than that? I don't got much else to say on this one! Wanted to show something from the Warrior of the Pillars that was more than just "Scalebolds" in this sub faction. Which the skirmishers will definitely be next in character classes! Until next time? Have a wonderful day! Thank you for reading!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system.
