A bit of backstory: Roy is an adventurous Arcanine that looks at things in a positive light. He grows up in a house that teaches different martial arts, his father has been doing this for years and starts teaching Roy once he got older. For Roy, it is an amazing experience to learn and practice his father, the two get along great and share a lot of things together. His father makes up for a lot of the things that Roy doesn't have, like having a mother. Roy's mother passed away after giving birth to him, and ever since the father has been taking care of Roy and acting as a father and mother.
Roy finds pretty quickly as he grows up that he can use fire magic along with other types to go with it. His father is able to do the same just like his mother, thanks to this Roy is able to learn how to use his gifts effectively without issue. He later discovers unlike his parents, he has access to both smoke and lava manipulation. He practices daily to make sure to control and use his powers properly, he even seeks someone out to help him control his powers better. That person is Hiro Hunter, a powerful fire user who becomes Roy's mentor for fire-like magic.
During Roy's high school years, he becomes close friends with Malik, Carlos, and Duke. Among some other people as well, people who he can share his secrets about his magical gifts. He becomes especially close to Carlos as he sees him as a sort of rival when they are training and learning martial arts together. He has a close friendship with their gym teacher, Oliver, someone who is a good friend of his father. The two tend to talk about all sorts of stuff, even about Oliver's underground fighting matches he does and the times he tries to be a hero.
After high school, Roy starts helping his father at the dojo. He works as an assistant instructor much like Carlos, both teach the martial arts they are best at to the students. Roy is working to take over the business once his father retires, so he works to learn various fighting styles to better do so. Outside of his work, he finds enjoyment in baking various things and playing video games with friends. Overall, Roy has a good life ahead of him.
