So the costume contest last week was another dual-costume one, this one where the theme was to create a pair of costumes that looked like they were from the same fighting game. I just decided that the idea of a ninja cat and a samurai wolf/dog was too good an idea to pass up, and tried to tweak things just enough to definitely give them both the same sort of 'vibe'. Contrasting colours, going with a dragon stitched up the side of one and plant vines stitched up the side of the other... I think it worked.
Didn't get a prize, but the community manager running the twitch stream said 'I just love everything about this', so I'm certainly not complaining.
Need to see if I can improve things a bit... part of the problem is that the camera angle is always set high enough to do the 'look over the shoulder as you're running', and it's difficult to move the camera down to get the feet in the image without having to cut half the image off the top to centre the characters. Of course, I've said that before...

Thanks! Sometimes and idea just... 'hits', and something has to be done with it.
It's one of the things I like about prompts like this, or like the
Thursday_Prompt storytelling ideas. It forms a nucleus around which the rest of the idea can build up.

Oh yes, especially when you've been around for long enough to unlock or buy a number of new costume pieces.
At times it's this weird combination of 'too much' and 'not enough'... "Okay, none of these is quite what I was thinking of, but which of the five different 'almost good enough' pieces is the best, and why do I have to switch modes entirely to get access to these pieces when I really want this piece from 'Tights' and this other piece from 'Jackets' over top of it?"
