I wouldn't say you missed anything, as this is a sort of "coming out" for her. I never really did elaborate on her sexuality before, but as time went on I thought she might have some interest in some of the other pudgy animal ladies as well--for some reason, Sylvia Sterling seems like her type, as do Serena and Meryl.
A character's sexuality is a part of their overall characterization but rarely something I make a major focus of a character's personality so I get the feeling a lot of my characters' sexualities are still very much unknown.
I do think that eventually, though, I'd like to pair Dominika up with Topher, as both have the same sort of "pudgy airhead" energy and they seem like they'd make a great pair, at least until there's only one slice of pizza left...
