Haru's morning routine takes an unexpected detour when his security guard shows up at his dojo with two men in tow, who seem to be itching heavily for a fight against the dragon. As he gets convinced to humor them, he finds that they're much more capable than he gave them credit for. Will his underestimation of them lead to his downfall (and an emptier wallet)...?
As it turns out, my friend T.W.R. has had nothing but high praise for the small story snippets I would write for him from time to time whenever inspiration struck. So, with his birthday coming up and my disposable income being practically zilch at the moment, I thought to myself, hey, why not see if I can write a full story for him this year?
And I gotta say, I genuinely didn't think I had the mental capacity to write all of this without burning out, so I seriously surprised myself there. Special thanks go to yourgaylion and GaliosOnyxus for proofreading the story-in-progress and providing the occasional advice and insight, not to mention lots and lots of encouragement.
No telling when or even if I'll write more, though. If inspiration strikes or there's an occasion, then perhaps, but don't count on it.
