Circling back the Frisky Fables comics ... so one of the recurring characters I haven't really drawn is Pidgy, whom I guess is a pigeon. Bird characters tend to be hard to draw and he's not really an exception. But Pidgy does have this appealing side to him, that is, that he carries with him a bucket of, yes, magic paint. You know I could hardly resist a character with magic paint, I mean, it's magic paint.

This panel's a copy of one in the top row of https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=38562 page 48, in an untitled story in which Professor Goo Goo captures and shrinks Pidgy. Pidgy's not going to take that shrunken down, though, and here we go ...

Although since Pidgy painted himself invisible to go prying into the Professor's business I think he kind of got what he deserves. We're not talking Slylock Fox here who has legitimate-ish business bothering Count Weirdly, you know?

Original art signed Harold Abbey. And https://popeyeanimators.blogspot.co.....er-artist.html notes that Pidgy is a clone of Twinkletoes, the carrier pigeon from the Fleischer Studios Gulliver's Travels, a point that makes me like the character more and also leaves a bunch of model sheets available.
