No, no connection... mostly I just made him an evil wizard sort because, frankly, if I'm going to stick somebody into an 'I have no mouth and I must scream' scenario I'd rather it be someone who at least kind of deserved it.

Thanks! I mean, frankly, dealing with Astral travel and the like, it's not exactly an impossible situation. And I figure he's done this sort of thing before, part of the typical 'evil mage escaping to be a threat in the future' kind of standard villain immunity.

Sometimes it just works when you have a line that makes absolutely no sense out of context but is spoken by the character as if it's an everyday occurance.
