This is one of my favourite seagull photos, if only for the wonderful expressions on the two birds' faces. At the back is a Black-headed Gul who seems to be looking rather quizzically at the Common Gull (which despite the name isn't anything like as common!) in front. The Common Gull, meanwhile, seems to me to be studiously ignoring the interloper!

Well, it was a lucky accident if I'm honest, but then that's how these things tend to work. Stand somewhere near a flock of gulls, fire off a zillion photos in burst mode (the "continuous" mode; you've got it on your camera too) and pick out the one or two that actually come out. =;P But even so, I like the way this one ended up, and thank you! =:)
