This is a very short poem I wrote last summer, while watching a buzzard soaring above the treetops in my local forest. (Note that by "buzzard" I mean a Common Buzzard, Buteo buteo, not a vulture etc.) And yes, the last line is supposed to look like that.

Aw, thank you so much for that. I'm quite pleased with it, and out of those short poems I wrote around that time I think this may be one of those I'm happiest with.

Oh, I'm sure I'd be terrified to go up in something as flimsy as a glider! I know I always kind of threatened to learn to fly, but I'm not sure if I'd have the nerve even in a regular airplane, never mind something like what you mention. But yes, it does look like something that would be a wonderful experience. Birds, and especially raptors of all kinds, always make it look so easy and elegant.
