Time and patience work hand in hand over the years, decades, centuries to impressive features into the landscape. From towering mountains, to sweeping hills, deep gorges, and rivers that snake their way through the land. Time heals all wounds, and shapes the world as you know it, time is the master of all things. This waterfall flowing off the edge from the shelf just above showing what wind, water, and time can do when left to their work, a deep cavernous opening behind the steady roar of the Cullasaja river overtop of you, mist spraying back into your face as you pass by. This is is just a small example of the power time holds on all things, and a reminder of how our world is shaped.

Very nice. Looks like you visited there on the perfect day, given how dry it's been in the area.
The year my husband and I went to Hawaii, it had been so dry that most of the famous waterfall sites were not running at all. Even the volcano was quiet. Kinda sad, really.
