It's okay to miss one or two prompts. I do it all the time, sometimes 4 or 5 weeks in a row.
Is this the sort of testing they do with clinical trials? I'd imagine this is a lot more complicated if you have various VERY different species wandering around with very different diets, metabolisms, and whatnot.
