The idea of sacrifice sounds scary. But... What if the "monster" that the prey is sent to just wants to save it from those who dared to send it here? Who knows if this is a sign of sincere concern, or just a sweet lie

I like the idea of the predator trying, as you said, to save them from the ones who put them here. Even if its a lie, its an interesting thought. Perhaps the prey goes from feeling fear to hope. Maybe the pred will even let them out when they're in safety? A cool idea

I love this idea too! And deliberately tried to convey to the prey's emotions not fear, but something more like doubt
