One really doesn't, tbh. I read the comics when they come up, and generally enjoy them. I make comments once in a blue moon on pretty much anything, and a response I get is "THEY NEED TO SCREW!!" like, dude. There's other places for that, and not in an ACTUAL attempt at a constructive conversation about the story THUS FAR. If it happens later, fine, cool. But as of this point, there's NO chemistry to even suggest they'd even THINK that.

When he was introduced I assumed he was the smart character, then saw he became a brute because he was so dedicated to physical training over mental training, so my assumption is that he is smart, but he exercised his muscles more than his brain so it doesn't show.

Adding to that, the exchange between Leopold and Mira seem to be Leopold asking Mira "Should I tell them?", referring to how Leo had told Mira that many Guardians haven't been returning from their missions, the same Veteran Guardians the Villagers want on that stage.

I really doubt he would accept the title of knight now, he was trained his whole childhood to be a guardian, was not chosen, got abandon by his parents, turned into a bitter petty thief and now he get a "free knight hood" ticket?
Not sure how describe it in a better way but it feels like Nigel had to suffer for no reason, i really hope he refuses the title of knight but it might go the other way around and he gets drunk on power with the title, since knight is better then guardian(?).

Jokes aside, every choice Luna has made, even now with her choices on who's becoming a Guardian, is questionable. A lot of what Luna is doing gives me doubt she knows what's best, and is just acting in desperation due to the Chaos coming ever closer to ending all the Gods.

She is very flawed and my least favorite character. Visually, she is amazing and I love her nature and personality, but the execution of her character and choices? Character may as well reveal she was evil the whole time working for Chaos pppft. But seriously, the biggest offense she did was ruin Nigel's life, I absolutely agree he should refuse the title now. Her punishment to blind him was overkill, for someone like her that's like a saint in a church blowing your arm off with a shotgun because you were going to steal the charity money and saying "I hope this makes you a better person."

But Luna didn't ruin Nigel's life. His parents ruined his life when they piled on him all their expectations and then spurned him. 'Not ready yet' isn't a failure.

The other criticims are valid, particularly the blinding. Though I doubt that is permanent.

I suspect that Luna's plan here is to force her chosen guardians to face their own flaws and weaknesses.

Luna blinded Nigel so he could "see" what he had ignored so far, he told us that he had nightmares but Luna confirmed it as visions... so she blinded him for the sole reason that he would open his heart(?). Still image you got nightmares and then you get blinded to see them more clearly, Luna has no idea of the needs for mortals.
From the very beginning as he was holding baby Miralle in hear arms she even confirms that she has no idea what it means to be a Mother to an mortal, sure the other gods could assist her but with her status as a god her way of thinking is waaaay over board for mortal standards.
Also she is a hypocrite, she took in Chili after her poisoning accident but she did not help Tristan or Nigel who had lived in an toxic environment. She had a chance to help those boys but she refused because of the "free will" mentality, probably the reason why Chili has anger issues because Luna did not offer any help or why Miralle is such a carefree summer child, all in the name of free will.
My best guess is that the world is near its rebirth circle and the gods try to hold off the End Times as long as possible.

you must understand that luna wants to get to the future she saw. her actions are less a punishment and more of the best possible way to get to that future. most or non of her actions are going to maker any sense now only when or if we get to the future and yes the situation is going to be hella bad

Expect the unexpected, heroes come in all different shapes and sizes. Not all heroes have bulging muscles, and shiny swords.

All jokes aside, I suppose none of them in the eyes of public are actually worthy of being Knights, if they're this vocal about their thoughts. I can only imagine what they'll be like when Tristan and Nigel are chosen.

Is there going to be anyone who they like as a Knight? Probably not, but I guess that is the point. There are flaws they must overcome, and the path to overcoming them better start soon. I guess a little mob shaming is as good way to start as any other.

I know that we are hearing the audience to get some background and general opinion to each new guardian, but seriously they are coming off as catty gossipers. This should be an event that is either covered with solemn silence or prideful cheering. These jealous murmurings just make them all look petty. Not a good look.

I would imagine in years past it was, however people's opinions change really fast when its becoming clear things are going very poorly. If they know of how many knights or guardians have already fallen without slowing chaos; then they aren't going to want a spoiled brat leading muscles for brains and potion failure in battle.

Fair point. These are turbulent times in the comic, so there is a lot of unrest. Still, Luna is a goddess and even though she walks amongst mortals, it still seems almost sacrilege to speak like that right in front of her.

Something that the audience should know is that no one is born with all perfect traits. Every hero of every story never started out the same. They all had their faults and issues. And some of those issues could only be resolved with experience. You can train hard all your life, but still lose because in the field you experience something you never came across before

As for the content, this really reflects more on how little faith they have with Luna. No one is even remotely thinking that the goddess has her reasons. At least not aloud. The critical minority is always the loudest.

I really like these last couple pages, they are well done and convey that the people are aware of the threat and are very unsure of the choices Luna is making.

Perhaps by choosing poor knights she will spur the people into picking up arms and defending themselves.

To be honest, I didn't expect the crowd to be picky about Leopold's choice as a Knight, but I guess they were expecting someone better, like someone from a legend or something. And regarding Chili's choice as a Knight, I must say that I like her reaction; she looks adorable with that expression, although when the crowd starts murmuring about her, which I'm sure they will, I'm sure she'll stop having it, sadly.

Well I'm honestly happy no one is enjoying their knighting. I hope Chili gets a cold reaction as well.
